Chef Charles serves as Chef Mentor to the Byron Nelson High School Culinary Arts Program, and Classic owners Curtis and Chris Wells are on the advisory board. These amazing young chefs and managers have attended the national ProStart competition several times and have bragging rights to a national championship.
We have had the honor of hosting the annual Metroport Meals on Wheels wine tasting dinner every year since 1994. This charity is near-and-dear to our hearts, as we delivered Meals on Wheels with our mom when we were young. Each year, members of The Classic staff volunteer to serve the Metroport Meals on Wheels wine dinner. It has become their tradition to donate their tips to MMOW at the end of the night. What a wonderful staff we have!
The mission of Mid-Cities SOS is to assist Safe Haven of Tarrant County in its mission to end family violence with financial support, through volunteer services, and by promoting community awareness of family violence. Chef Charles provides food at their Celebrity Chefs fundraising event, and is shown here helping auction a Classic gift certificate.

Victory Therapy Center (formerly Rocky Top Therapy Center) provides therapeutic riding, physical therapy and counseling services by utilizing relationships that clients form with horses. Chef Charles enjoys helping with the “Tee Up for Kids” golf tournament.

Chef Charles works with other chefs in the Fort Worth community, plating food for Cuisine For Healing’s Dinner Party for Life fund-raising event. Cuisine for Healing provides nutritious, delicious food for people combating disease, plus education about the power of healthy food. This event was sponsored by the USMD Arlington and the Fort Worth Star Telegram.
